Dear Galway Business Community,
Since taking over the role as CEO of Galway Chamber I have been struck by the amount of good wishes, reflections individuals have had in their interactions of the past with the Chamber, divergent views on the present offering and indeed divergent views on how the Chamber should move forward, as the leading business representative organisation for Galway.
It is clear to me that Galway Chamber has a very rich and proud history, not just in our contributions at local level but nationally through the Chambers Ireland forum and others. Like every business and organisation there have been challenges along the way and that will be no different for the future. What is important is that we prepare and have a well-developed strategy in place to guide us over the coming years, coupled with the agility to pivot should we need.
I am privileged to serve a Chamber Council of 25 representatives who are your volunteer voices around the table and represent a broad sector of the business community in Galway. Our Council, coupled with the hardworking team in the office, members of committees and our stakeholders all have a valuable input into what we deliver on behalf of Galway.
We are developing a strategy that will serve us as a business community for the coming years and I as CEO, would like your input into that strategy. Have a listen to this short video by clicking here.
As I asked in video I’d appreciate to hear your views, either by completing the quick feedback questionnaire here or directly to myself by mailing – rest assured your responses will be treated in confidence.
This process is important. I want to ensure that we as a Business community in Galway understand, as best we can, what the future holds, what the challenges and opportunities are and how we as a collective can best position ourselves to respond to trends and seize opportunities.
This particular consultation process is open until Monday 25th November 2019. I look forward to hearing from you and working with you over the coming years.
