Galway Chamber CEO Welcomes €9.6m Enterprise Ireland Funding Announcements for Galway
The CEO of Galway Chamber, Kenny Deery, has welcomed the funding announcements amounting to a combined €9.6m spread across five projects for Galway spanning GMIT/Galway Film Centre, SCCUL Enterprises, Grow Remote Galway, PorterShed and Galway Technology Centre.
€5.3 million have been allocated for Galway Technology Centre & Galway City Innovation District (PorterShed), both of which are subsidiary companies of the Chamber.
In a statement he said, “This is a vote of confidence and recognition at national level for the work undertaken by these organisations, their boards and their management teams”.
These organisations have contributed phenomenally to the start-up, scaling, enterprise development and creative industry eco-systems not just in Galway but in the West of Ireland. Today is a day for celebration, we as a Chamber look forward to working with and supporting all these groups as they execute their plans over the coming years”
These funding allocations do not happen without considerable effort and support at administrative level and he complimented the hard working team in Enterprise Ireland for their confidence and support.
