Why should you attend? Any company trading in Europe will be required to be Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) certified with effect from 1st January 2008 if they are to avoid ongoing delays with their shipments, increased audits and face difficulties trading with the US and countries outside the EU. 

Given the complexities involved in this regulation it is essential that every company trading in Europe is aware of the implications for their business and, as an an AEO compliant business will be given priority treatment at customs checks and find it easier to ship goods across third country international borders.  In addition they will be subject to fewer physical and document based controls than non AEO companies and will be recognised world-wide as safe secure and compliant business partners with customs. 

Who should attend? Export Managers; Supply Chain Managers; International Sales Managers; Freight forwarders; Compliance Managers; Shipping Managers; Managing Directors; Finance Managers

- Legal development of AEO programme – focus on background to development of AEO and legislative base

Aim: Assertive people express themselves and their rights in an open, non-confrontational way. In a healthy workplace, they communicate effectively and set clear boundaries around work demands and pressures. This workshop is designed to help individuals discover ways in which they can behave more assertively in the workplace and develop their inner confidence and self esteem.

Objectives: By the end of the workshop participants will be able to:

·          Recognise how they communicate
·          Learn techniques in communicating more effectively
·          Distinguish between assertive, aggressive and passive behaviours
·          Behave more assertively
·          Deal with difficult situations
·          Improve their confidence and self esteem
